This is one of John Bloomfield's costume sketches for the character of 'The Mariner" played by Kevin Costner. It shows the original conception of a waist length top and trousers with strong vertical lines. I made two versions of the top - a vest made from tanned salmon.hides and the other a windbreaker of artificial walrus intestine.
