he
biggest event in my life recently has been being contracted
as an independent artist by Sideshow Collectibles, Westlake
Village, CA, to CO-design their newest product line of 1/4 scale
(18" tall) clothed statues. Our first collaboration piece
of the series: Boris Karloff as Frankenstein, which debuted
at the international Comic Con 2003 convention in San Diego
to wild applause. I get to work with some of the greatest portrait
artists, and together we make beautiful music. I was with Sideshow
at the February 2004 NYC TOY Fair for the grand debut of our
1/4 line including our biggest hit, Sean Connery as 007. Also
there: Lon Chaney in London After Midnight, Bela Lugosi as Dracula,
Freddie Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, Captain Kirk and
Spock, Napoleon, Hugh Jackman as Van Helsing and Ron Pearlman
as Hellboy. A lot more personalities are scheduled to come!

or
the past three years I've been attending the annual "History
Meets the Arts" art show sponsored by and held in Gettysburg,
Pennsylvania. Annually, for one weekend in April, the town hosts
one of the biggest art shows featuring the works of about 100 contemporary
historical artists from around the country and Canada. Artists with
their original works are on display in nearly every art gallery
and shop in town. I've had the honor of exhibiting alongside the
artist and my friend Keith Rocco ( www.keithrocco.com
) at the historic Brafferton Inn bed and breakfast. We are unique
among the artists because both he and I are the only ones there
who specialize in French Napoleonic subject matter. Our work is
displayed throughout two beautiful 19th century parlors and a sitting
room on the Brafferton's main floor. A must-see trip for the true
art collector!

ast
year I also worked on the recently released feature film, "The
Alamo" designing and drafting the gold bullion embroidery patterns
for Santa Ana's uniforms and his general staff officers. I worked
with the costume designer, Daniel Orlandi to create the uniforms
which are so reminiscent of French Napoleonic generals' uniforms.
